Prompt: is simply the instruction we give an AI to generate a response. Mastering different prompting approaches is key—it determines how effectively you communicate with AI systems and directly impacts the quality of outputs you receive.
In this post, I discuss different prompting approaches and show the AI’s responses to each.
1. Zero-based Prompting: this occurs when no example or clue guides the AI’s response—it generates answers purely from its pre-existing knowledge
Analysis:The AI system generates responses using only its pre-trained knowledge (zero-shot prompting), without relying on user-provided examples or demonstrations.

2. Few Shot Prompting: With this technique, the AI is given specific examples or patterns as guidance, enabling it to produce more comprehensive and contextually relevant outputs.
Prompt: while reflecting on the example in the generated image, kindly generate the image of a golden retriever and a cat feeding together from the same bowl under the supervision of their couple owners.
Analysis: The uploaded image serves as a reference blueprint, guiding the AI’s reasoning process to deliver structured and nuanced responses.

3. Chain-of-thought Prompting:
Prompt: So i applied to an institution, Olot partners. The director reached out to me via email, instructing me to extend the discussion from email to telegram. well the role wasn’t available, but he stated that there are remote job opportunities. hold on let me paste our telegram conversation, then you provide me a soft, casual, not too official follow message
Analysis: This request follows a chain-of-thought approach. The AI builds logically on prior steps (job application → response → portfolio submission → follow-up), maintaining seamless context. To fully align with this flow, instruct the AI to output the final result as a PDF, completing the sequence.
